Another Free Evening with Charles Lavoie on THU Sep 1. 7-9pm.

on Mon, 08/29/2011 - 21:13

We'd like to invite you to attend another special free seminar with the fabulous Charles Lavoie, BkC's top photo instructor.  As with our previous free seminar, Charles will be walking you through a lot of photography basics so you can start to familiarize yourself with digital photography and your camera specifically.  Got questions about your Canon or Nikon?  Come on by and ask away.  We'll also be introducing the range of workshops available through BkC this fall and winter, and we'll be giving discount cards for all who attend the free workshop, good for 10% off your next class!

What you'll learn:

* So what's a DSLR?  Functions and features common to all digital cameras
* Controlling exposure (light vs. dark)
* Shutter speed vs. aperture
* ISO: Your camera's "film" speed
* Focal lengths and that pesky 1.6x crop ratio
* Using the cameras light meter

@ RABBITHOLE

(Between Water and Plymouth St)

We strongly encourage you to bring your own camera, though not required.
Classes have a maximum of 18 students first come first serve, doors open at 6:30!
