Who we are

Brooklyn Creative {BkC} is a new art & photography education center located in the heart of Dumbo, Brooklyn.  We’re founded upon the idea of learning by doing, whether it’s bookbinding or photography or learning the latest creative software, our smart and simple approach and motivated instructors will help you learn new skills, improve your practice and set new goals.

BkC works in collaboration with the Rabbithole gallery to create a multifaceted underground art space, complete with artists-in-residence, photo studio rentals, monthly exhibitions and a full events calendar.   Through this partnership, and by merging exhibition with education, we aim to expand the possibilities of artists and their creative efforts.

Our staff of experienced educators, artists, curators and creative professionals are totally dedicated to providing you with smart, no-nonsense instruction and creating an environment for you to confidently progress in your practice.  Workshops are offered in the 1000-square foot studio and exhibition space at Rabbithole.

We're offering new classes all the time.  Don't forget to sign our mailing list below for monthly updates on upcoming classes, guest speakers, art openings and parties.

Located on the waterfront of the Dumbo art district in Brooklyn, Rabbithole is a contemporary art and community space.  Since 2006, directors Shawn Lyons and Justin William Lin have shown works by hundreds of emerging and mid-career artists, producing over 50 group and solo shows as a participant gallery in Dumbo's First Thursday series of art walks.  The space operates as a project room, providing artists a forum for showing new works and works-in-progress, and presenting events, film screenings, readings and parties.

Rabbithole is hosting the BkC workshops in continuing effort to support artist development and community.
