One-Day Field Guides: The Street

"The creative act lasts but a brief moment, a lightning instant of give-and-take, just long enough for you to level the camera and to trap the fleeting prey in your little box." — Henri Cartier Bresson
This intermediate workshop is ideal for students who are familiar with basic photographic concepts such as controlling exposure and motion through adjusting aperture and shutter speed, focal lengths for lenses and metering for light. The Field Guides are exactly what they sound like: designed to get you shooting under real conditions like unpredictable weather, light and an evolving physical environment. Mixing more advanced technical concepts with live working scenarios, the workshop focuses on application, experimentation and adaptability, as well as analyzing and responding to a live scenario.
The Street is a live shooting workshop that emphasizes dealing with the variables of the urban landscape, so remember to dress weather appropriate.
